Suzann Beals, a local New Hampshire
artist, creates uniquely beautiful jewelry that is sold throughout
the United States.
Using a form of jewelry-making that dates back to the ancient
Egyptians, Suzann has developed her own style of wrapping
semi-precious stones with either sterling silver or gold-filled
wire to create
stunning pendants - offering those that choose them, a highly
personalized accessory.
Artist's Statement
I began my fantastic journey of making
jewelry after breast cancer. I thought there would be no
more life for me. I was second generation to this awful
disease. When I was in a world of darkness a wonderful lady
showed me a bracelet she had made with wire. A new world
was discovered. I watched as the doors of sunshine opened.
There was a magnetic pull to the wonderful shapes of natural
stones; the freedom of caressing stones with wire; the challenges
of following the plans that Mother Nature has given me.
I learned to listen to the universe, the best teacher of
all.
I am often asked how I choose my stones,
yet I believe it is how they choose me. I feel we are one
waiting to be united by creativity - when we join hands,
the song is played, the dance is danced, the energy flows.
I am carefully listening to what the stones say, for they
tell me which way they are to be dressed in their coat of
silver or gold.
